yup, that’s where that goes! #1

i know i’m not perfect, but i’d like to think that i have a fair amount of common sense. i try to keep the ice cube tray and brita filter full; i keep receipts and gum wrappers in my pocket, until i find a garbage can to throw them in; etc.

i’m not trying to toot my own horn here, but i can’t help but point out when other people just can’t seem to grasp the concept of really sensible things. more specifically, leaving things where they make very little sense. thus is born a new concept i’m (sarcastically) calling “yup, that’s where that goes!”

welcome to submission #1:

who needs a cart corral?

i’ve walked around target aisles for many hours, in my time and i’ve never complained or broken a sweat. but, unload a few bags into your trunk, and you can start to feel a tiny hint of this crazy thing people call excercise. and that’s what i find the most interesting about this picture. i would venture to guess that it would take a less energy to push a wheeled cart 30 feet into a corral than it takes to lift the entire thing up and onto a sidewalk/curb.

so, why would someone do it? well, i don’t know why the first guy did. but, the rest of these folks obviously saw an example set and decided that this was the proper protocol for this particular store. i mean, most places (including this one) have cart corrals. but, i guess it made sense to some to just follow the leader.

whatever the explanation, this is exactly the type of submissions i’m looking for. hopefully, i’m not alone in my self-righteousness, and there are other humans out there who chuckle or become bewildered by the decisions of others, in cases of proper placement of objects. if you’ve got something you’d like to share with a fellow curmudgeon, send it my way and i’ll be happy to post it.
